Fast tool-less electrical installation

.

• All in all, 161 quality components, 92 PTFIX distribution blocks among them, contained in a Sortimo L-BOXX compartmentalised case
• Neat, safe, and easy component storage and retrieval
• Takes up 50% less space

The recent addition of the PTFIX L-BOXX CASE starter kit by Phoenix Contact further boosts Conrad’s range of supplies aimed at electrical contractors. The kit comprises 161 quality components all in all that are contained in a neat and handy Sortimo L-BOXX 102 compartmentalised case, enabling quick and tool-less installation work.

At the heart of the kit, there are a total of 92 PTFX distribution blocks, a unique solution by Phoenix Contact, featuring push-in connector design. They come with several fitting options that include longitudinal and transverse rail-mounting, as well as standard and, if needed, glue fitting. For contractors, this means using components that take up about 50% less space. They come in 11 different colours, making the correct paring of wires and contacts an intuitive and safe process. The terminals are expandable and ready-to-use. Thanks to the push-in design, they allow connecting end-stripped, rigid wires with cross sections between 0.14 and 6 mm² for taps, and with up to 10 mm² for feeds. As no tools and no manual shorting are required, this reduces installation time by up to 80% . The kit also contains 53 DIN-rail mounts as well as 16 threaded flanges, jumpers, and wire identifiers.

“The black Sortimo L-BOXX 102 compartmentalised case makes component storage and retrieval safe, neat and easy,” explains Andre Busche, Marketing Manager at Phoenix Contact Germany. “This means our starter kit helps electrical contractors save a significant amount of time spent on the job. Moreover, component colour-coding and push-fit design greatly lower the risk of making a mistake – true to our company motto: Unwrap. Connect. Done.”
