Arvato Systems Supports Businesses in Organizing and Implementing Vaccination Campaign

A steadily growing number of companies in Germany are planning to vaccinate their own employees against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. These companies intend to have their company physicians vaccinate employees at the company sites in an effort to accelerate progress of the nationwide vaccination campaign as soon as there are sufficient quantities of vaccines available and vaccination regulations permit it.

The Arvato Systems vaccination platform has already been used successfully in a large federal state and will now expand its offering to businesses that want their own company physicians to vaccinate employees.

The IT platform integrates both appointment scheduling and logistics handling in a single integrated approach. The entire supply chain of the vaccination doses is fully supported and consolidated in an integrated system regardless of where the vaccination is given. This ensures the smooth handling of the entire vaccination process as well as a high level of information transparency.

“I’m happy that our IT solution is also ready for use by businesses and that we can support them in implementing their vaccination campaigns at short notice,” says Michael Horstmann, Business Development Manager at Arvato Systems, on the possible uses of the platform.

Appointments are appropriately scheduled to ensure that stocks are also available of the respective vaccines thanks to the integration of inventory management for the scarce vaccine doses. The process fully maps the requirements set by the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) in its vaccination regulations. In addition to quality-assured components, such as limiting the target group to employees, the platform also ensures compliance with data protection policies and QR code-controlled processing at the vaccination site. All planning data and progress KPIs for the vaccination process are transferred to a clear real-time reporting cockpit. There is also full support provided for the requirements of the vaccination regulation for reporting to the Robert Koch Institute, including batch information for each vaccination.
