achelos and the Windhoff Group announce IT security partnership

IT security and related issues are often given too little attention or only addressed too late. This can have negative economic consequences for projects. In the worst-case scenario, the market launch of a product can even be delayed quite considerably. To ensure that it does not come to this, achelos GmbH and the Windhoff Group are now working together to offer powerful solutions.

Rise in internet connections

Marcus Bierhaus, Head of Project Management at the Windhoff Group, explains what this involves: "The keywords here are ʻInternet of Thingsʼ (IoT) and ʻCloud Computingʼ. New products or services are increasingly being networked via the Internet, along with their respective features, and are able to communicate with one another. This includes connec-tions to cloud systems and much more. Just consider the range of applications that already exist today, for example in the so-called smart home segment." Security regulations and standards are repeatedly sidelined during product development.

"However, data and information protection should ideally be incorporated right from the outset. Otherwise, this can lead to unnecessarily costly reworking if the worst were to occur. Set against this background, we offer methodological support in the field of risk management, as well as IT security analyses.
