Armacell levies extraordinary Material and Operations Surcharge
- Significant increase in raw material and procurement costs
- 3 % surcharge on the entire product range, including accessories
- Best possible service and delivery quality
Armacell, a worldwide leading manufacturer of flexible insulation materials for equipment insulation and engineered foams, is levying an extraordinary Material and Operations Surcharge on its entire product range, including accessories.
In recent months, supply shortages in raw material markets, breakdowns in global supply chains and pandemic-related logistics problems have led to substantial increases in Armacell’s raw material and operating costs.
“Over the past few months, we have taken numerous measures to avoid supply shortages and thus ensure that our trading partners are able to satisfy their customers’ needs. At the same time, we have raised our efficiency levels even further to absorb the increased costs,” explains Guillerme Huguen, Armacell’s Chief Strategic Development Officer & Chief Purchasing Officer. “As this price hike is not slowing down, we have now been forced to levy an extraordinary Material and Operations Surcharge in Europe and the Middle East. This 7.3 % surcharge will apply to our entire product range, including accessories, and to all Armacell products shipped from 24 May 2021 onwards.”
Malte Witt, Armacell’s Vice President EMEA & Chief Marketing Officer, adds: “Although the situation on the international raw materials’ market is difficult, we will do our utmost to ensure that wholesalers and installers receive the best possible service and delivery quality. Together with our business partners we will master these challenging times and come out of this pandemic-induced crisis even stronger."
