BIG enters partnership with Coinbase
Premier German esports organization Berlin International Gaming (BIG) has entered a partnership with a leading global cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase in an all new cooperation based around digital activations and community engagement.
Reshaping traditional industries, both esports and the cryptocurrency industry are at the cutting edge of innovation as some of the hottest topics in the digital ecosystem. Through this partnership, the two worlds will be brought together, and we’ll explore the intersections of gaming and digital finances.
Coinbase will become a premium partner of the club’s famous CS:GO roster and receive an extensive brand and content rights package as part of the partnership.
As a leading global cryptocurrency exchange with over 68 million customers, Coinbase makes buying and selling cryptocurrencies safe and simple.
On June 28th 2021, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) awarded Coinbase Germany GmbH a licence for crypto custody and trading. The BaFin licensing framework is the first of its kind in the European Union, and Coinbase Germany was the first company to be issued such a licence. The license allows Coinbase Germany to provide a safe and regulated environment for Germans seeking to explore the world of cryptocurrency.
Statement Daniel Finkler, BIG CEO
Today we can welcome Coinbase, one of the world’s leading crypto exchange platforms, as a partner. The world of cryptocurrencies is an enormously exciting space, and it’s my ambition to make more people aware of this rapidly growing ecosystem with all its benefits and risks through our partnership. Coinbase has developed into a market leader over the last few years and offers customers a safe and regulated place to securely trade and store cryptocurrencies. We are very excited to start our partnership officially today. I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the SPORTFIVE team for initiating and arranging this great cooperation.
