Revolution in urban transport
In southern Germany, a company is developing electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft with multiple rotors. These are to be offered for commercial use from 2024. Flights are to be easily booked. The company is aiming for a two-seater air taxi, a drone for transport and an air taxi for travel between cities and suburbs. Future visions, which mind you already refer to the year 2030, assume that there will be a variety of possibilities in connection with air taxis in 2030. Perhaps an app on the mobile phone will make it possible to simply display the modes of transport.
Air taxi applications will go hand in hand with digitalization and electrification in urban applications. According to experts‘ predictions, the air taxi industry will be as normal as any other transportation vehicle. Thus, a huge global market could be in place. The more congestion there is in a city, the more significant airspace will become. Megacities with inadequate infrastructure will especially appreciate the new services. An important aspect in this development is sustainability, so electricity instead of fossil fuels. Not only rechargeable batteries are a must, but also sustainable production of the flying machines.
This will not only be a challenge for the manufacturers of the air taxis, but will also consume many raw materials, including lithium for the batteries. ION Energy – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH231HUoUFI -, for example, has lithium in the ground in Mongolia. The two lithium projects are around 100,000 hectares in size.
Millennial Lithium – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB4GQGJQ_XM&t=24s – and its lithium projects are located in Argentina. Negotiations regarding the takeover of the company are underway and should please those who have already invested.
