André Thönes appointed CEO for Rubix in DACH

André Thönes brings over two decades of experience in B2B distribution with electrical distribution specialist, Sonepar. Most recently, he was the chief commercial officer of Sonepar Germany.

Early in his career, he held roles in in purchasing, sales and post-merger integration before moving into senior leadership as managing director of Otto Kuhmann, an operating company of Sonepar Germany.

After the acquisition of Rexel Germany by Sonepar, he led the successor company DEG Deutsche Elektro-Gruppe, before being appointed managing director of Sonepar’s southern region in Germany.

Commenting on the appointment, Rubix Group CEO Martin Thomsen said: “André is a great hire for us. His successful track record in a business that reflects our focus on technical services, digital solutions and key accounts made him an ideal fit for Rubix.”
