Products being highlighted at JEC World include the Spabond^TM 800 series, a certified, high performance, toughened adhesive designed for bonding large structures such as wind turbine blades. SpabondTM 800 products offer lower production costs thanks to rapid cure, and shorter cycle time which reduces energy consumption, and safer, more sustainable chemistry. 

Gurit’s Manufacturing Solutions for wind turbine blades include modular hinge systems for closing and turning molds, the design and manufacturing of master plugs and molds, and automation solutions to reduce cycle time for manufacturers and allow for the increased durability and performance of wind turbine blades. A comprehensive offering for boatbuilding and other industries 

Gurit also supplies advanced composite materials to the full spectrum of marine projects worldwide including industry-leading prepregs, structural core materials, adhesives, coatings, as well as laminating and infusion systems. The new SE75 prepreg line builds on the the heritage and performance of Gurit’s industry-leading SE84 prepreg but has more versatile cure possibilities from 12 hours at 70ºC to 45 minutes at 120ºC, whilst maintaining an 8-week shelf life at 18-22°C. 

A complementary range of epoxies, resins, and adhesives for the marine industry are also available, such as the new Spabond^TM 400 adhesives, Ampreg^TM laminating systems, PRIME^TM infusion products, and the AMPRO^TM multipurpose epoxy system. Gurit has re-engineered its formulated products for simplicity and ease of use, and many use bio-based materials as standard. It is a highly adaptable, recyclable, thermoplastic core material with a good balance of mechanical properties, temperature resistance, density, and cost for a wide range of applications and processes.
