IFFA is an important innovation platform for us, allowing us to showcase this exceptional expertise to our long-standing customers in a worthy environment, and to inspire new customers at the same time."
The next generation of price labelers
Where does the product come from? And what is in it? Consumers are increasingly demanding transparency and quality. As a result, the food industry is facing greater demands for resource efficiency, productivity, and flexibility. What is needed are intuitive machines with a high degree of automation and a small footprint, featuring a short learning curve and ease of operation. The top exhibit at the Bizerba booth is designed for automatic weighing and labeling of pre-packaged goods in the industrial food sector with overall system effectiveness that measurably outperforms any comparable model. At the show, the labeling line will also feature an integrated inspection system. With it, the emphasis will be on the topic of food safety, while demonstrating the modularity and combination options of the various Bizerba systems.
A holistic digitalization partner
Even for the meat industry, digitalization has developed to become an inevitable part of the equation. “Simply building a good product and offering it to the market is no longer nearly enough. We offer our customers digital strategies for the future," says Michael Berke, Vice President Global Marketing & Sales at Bizerba. This is why the topic of "Digital Butcher Shop" will be addressed at the booth, he adds. There will be a demonstration of how online orders can be processed automatically and holistically with networked solutions from a single source. For example, the new K3 retail scale can be seamlessly networked with other systems. It receives orders and sends them directly to a slicer, connected to a suitable software, which then executes the order. This optimizes holistic processes with networking. Monitors will be available at the trade show booth to view and monitor all networked devices on-site for demonstration purposes. Anyone interested in expanding the performance of their digital solutions can add new functions via apps at any time. Modular software for retail, trade, or industry serves as a basis for this.
Integrating sustainability into processes
Responsibility has several dimensions. Manufacturers want to save resources and innovative technologies can play a direct part in this. Sustainable label solutions and energy-saving slicers are a good place to start. The patented CleanCut® technology, which is adapted to the properties of Bizerba CleanCut® linerless labels, is perfect for this concept. This revolutionary approach puts an end to blades with sticky adhesive and is fully geared towards reducing machine downtime. Full wrap labels, multi-page labels (C-wrap), and labels for classic labeling of individual packaging sides can all be produced without liner material. So, the rolls hold up to 90% more labels, and waste is reduced at the same time.
