E.ONs Virtual AGM ends with high participation
- Dividend of 49 cents per share approved
- 202 shareholder questions answered in advance and 2 follow-up questions answered during the AGM
Today the Annual General Meeting of the Essen-based energy company E.ON took place in virtual format. Among other things, it was decided to pay a dividend of 49 cents per share for the 2021 financial year, an increase on the previous year (47 cents) and the seventh increase in a row. At the same time, E.ON thus confirmed its goal of increasing the dividend year on year in the long term by up to five percent annually until 2026.
As in the previous year, attendance was also at a high level in the virtual format. 62.89 percent of the share capital was represented. E.ON ensured that shareholders were able to address their questions to the Board of Management in advance. Twenty-six shareholders took advantage of this opportunity, and more than 200 questions were answered in the run-up to the Annual General Meeting. Votes were also taken online, and resolutions passed in this way have unrestricted validity.
