Reliable data transmission for Smart Driving
Products used in driving assistance systems must meet various requirements. They must be able to withstand excessive heat during prolonged exposure to sunlight and function reliably in the event of engine vibrations and on bumpy roads. At the same time, read and write speeds must be stable in order to process critical data in a timely manner. The physical properties of the materials used must not change, as they can affect the functionality of the device. A sudden power failure caused by switching off the vehicle’s engine must not lead to data loss, and failures must be kept to an absolute minimum so as not to impair user-friendliness.

This improves the efficiency and accuracy of the system and increases the security of sensitive data. The 3IE2 card used has an SD 3.0 interface and supports Class 10 with UHS-I. The 3IE2 Mico SD card is suitable for use in the extended operating temperature range from -25°C to +85°C. It withstands vibrations of 20G at 7 to 2,000Hz and shocks of 1,500G for 0.5ms. It has an advanced firmware architecture and flash algorithms, including wear-leveling for read disturbance management, ensuring high reliability and longevity. In addition, the 3IE2 has unexpected power failure protection and an MTBF (mean time between failures) of over 3 million hours. The fixed BOM guarantees long-term availability of the product.
