Sneak preview of the new portable eddy current testing instrument ELOTEST M6

The 34th Control in Stuttgart, the international trade fair for quality assurance, was the stage for the sneak preview of the new digital one-hand test instrument of Rohmann GmbH. The family-owned company from southwestern Germany presented its latest development at this trade fair. With the first portable ROTOTEST, in 1977 the company founder Jürgen Rohmann laid the foundation for this now continuing success story with the ELOTEST M6 eddy current test instrument. In the year of the 45th anniversary of the company, Petra Rohmann, CEO of Rohmann GmbH, was pleased to be able to present yet another new development at the Control.

The ELOTEST M6 test instrument, developed and manufactured in the family-owned company is still “Made in Germany“. But what can it do, what are the special features of the new development? The portable eddy current test instrument can be used in both the laboratory and in rough environments. The new note and voice memo functions are most certainly a major benefit for the user working outside. The test results obtained can be stored together with comments directly on site. It impresses thanks to the integrated C-Scan function for array probes and rotor applications and it is the first hand-held device, which provides an analysis of the harmonic wave for testing metallic materials for changes in the microstructure, hardness and strength. Together with these fatures, the M6 one-hand test instrument includes a large number of functions already known to the user only from the innovative inline systems from Rohmann.

At booth no. 6220 in hall 6, Rohmann GmbH not only presented a large number of demo applications, but also an automated test system from STALVOSS GmbH & Co. KG, which has been conceived for testing small cylindrical rollers. The Rohmann ELOTEST PL600 eddy current test instrument is part of this system.
