Four new Silverdollars specially designed for the printing industry

• The new ROTOVARIO Silverdollars by ECKART are geared to diverse demands

ECKART expands its successful portfolio for gravure and flexo printing as well as shrink sleeve applications with four new silver pastes. ROTOVARIO 501 811, ROTOVARIO 530 107, ROTOVARIO 532 501 and 532 504 are based on silverdollar pigments. They enrich the portfolio with new shades.

What’s more, they impress with a number of further advantages. ROTOVARIO 501 81, for example, combines high-gloss silver effects with an excellent hiding power.

The whitish metallic effect of ROTOVARIO 530 107 remains largely unchanged over the entire viewing angle. The paste creates a uniform structureless metallic optic. It is suited to carton, board, and flexible applications. Owing to its good hiding power, the pigment concentration of formulations with ROTOVARIO 530 107 can be reduced by up to 30 percent, without compromising hiding power.

On the other hand, ROTOVARIO 532 501 and ROTOVARIO 532 504 convince with their excellent overprintability. Alternatively, the two silver pastes can be combined with color inks or toner to achieve interesting, polychromatic effects. They are particularly suited for bright effects on film or board applications. In contrast to the other pastes which are stabilized in ethyl acetate solutions, n-propyl-acetate is being used to stabilize the ROTOVARIO 532-pastes. This guarantees their exceptionally long shelf life of 24 months.
