First estonian harbour crane with dual power starts operations at HHLA TK Estonia’s terminal
Therefore, the crane as first of its kind in Estonia, featuring both electric motors and a diesel engine. As HHLA TK Estonia uses only certified renewable electricity, there are no greenhouse gas emissions when the crane is working in electric mode.
The Mantsinen Group from Finland delivered the “120 DER” crane, using innovative dual power technology. It has a total handling capacity of 620 tons of bulk cargo in an hour. Beside bulk handling attachment, variety of lifting equipments can be added easily.
