New Camera Module Series from Innodisk for AI and Computer Vision
Camera modules are used in a wide range of applications, from ATMs to bedside information systems. Innodisk’s optimized cameras meet the diverse needs of many applications. These include AI image recognition, for example, where a small MIPI camera is integrated into a parking meter. Similarly, cameras are built into smart charging stations to recognize license plates, or they are inserted into a production line to automatically detect defects. Combined with video recording technologies such as InnoREC for SSDs, Innodisk thus offers complete solutions for video recording.
According to Johnny Wu, director of Innodisk’s International Intelligent Peripheral Application Division, "Innodisk AI is the complete integration of software and hardware solutions, in addition to key technologies such as platforms and algorithms. The recently launched camera module series will flourish in various emerging AI and intelligent applications around the world and are expected to excel in the increasingly thriving field of AI computer vision applications."
Innodisk has already launched its USB 2.0 and MIPI camera modules, including the EV2U-RMR2, EV2U-SGR1 and EV2U-RMR1 models. All modules can be integrated for ISP. The development and launch of 4K cameras with autofocus function are planned.
As one of the leading suppliers of industrial-grade storage media and embedded devices, Innodisk has developed a series of camera modules to support image recognition technology in the field of AI. The modules can be customized, are platform compatible, and are directly programmable (ISP = In-Circuit-Programmable) in the field of application. Innodisk offers a 3-year warranty on the series.
