Energy transition – diversity of ideas is called for

A climate-friendly energy supply is needed to achieve net-zero targets. Alongside innovative ideas, nuclear power helps.

A recent study in Berlin showed that leaves can be used to create a sustainable energy cycle. Autumn brings around 36,000 tons of leaves to Berlin every year. In composting plants, they are used to make soil. But the leaves could be used in biogas plants to produce heat and electricity. Around 7.5 tons of leaves, according to calculations, could produce the electricity for one person for a year after pre-treatment. Solar energy and wind power are being used to drive the green transformation. For example, there is a floating photovoltaic plant ("Water Lily") on a lake near Munich.

However, energy from wind and sun are not yet sufficient and will never be, at least in some countries. This is where nuclear energy comes into play. According to the EU, it is considered green. It is not completely emission-free, but this also applies to other energy generation methods. Wind, solar and hydro power also cause emissions. The extraction of uranium, processing, and the construction and dismantling of nuclear power plants cause emissions. In any case, nuclear energy is climate-friendly and a suitable bridging technology. And energy from nuclear power is reliable and offers security of supply. Uranium is needed to fuel nuclear energy. This is available from Consolidated Uranium or Labrador Uranium, for example.

Consolidated Uraniumhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/play/newsflash-with-victoria-gold-calibre-mining-consolidated-uranium-cypress-development-and-alpha-lithium/ – has uranium projects in Australia, Argentina and Canada. The Laguna Salada uranium and vanadium project in Argentina has just delivered very good assay results.

Labrador Uraniumhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/play/mining-newsflash-with-with-victoria-gold-gold-terra-tinone-resources-canada-nickel-labrador-uranium-and-mag-silver/ – is focused on large uranium projects in the Central Mineral Belt in Labrador. 52 mineral concessions cover approximately 152,000 hectares of land.
