Korodur’s industrial flooring forms the basis for new Zalando logistics centre in Poland
NEODUR HE 3 is a ready-to-use, cementitious dry mortar used worldwide in indoor and outdoor areas for the production of industrial floors in the dry-shake method. The material was designed to improve surface hardness and increase wear resistance when exposed to direct industrial stress at ground level. In addition to logistics including high-bay warehouses, parking garages, industrial areas, assembly and aircraft sheds as well as workshops are typical utilization sites.
Of great importance to the supply chain and regional industries
The industrial flooring installer PPP, based near Krakow, is already very familiar with the Korodur products from many joint projects and has installed around 500 mt of NEODUR HE 3 in cement grey colour at the Zalando site in Bydgoszcz on 130,000 square metres of storage space.
The new location has a high priority for the provision of supplies to Zalando customers in Poland as well as for the regional economy, especially since around 3,500 new jobs are to be created there in the long term.
Sustainability: For Zalando, anything but a fashionable trend
For Europe’s leading platform for fashion and lifestyle products, sustainability is anything but a fashionable trend. Efficient thermal insulation of buildings, the collection and recycling of rainwater, and the promotion of electromobility were therefore essential components of its planning operations. Zalando’s property complies with the requirements for the “Excellent” rating given by the BREEAM certification system for assessing sustainability.
Thanks to the product’s exceptional longevity and the long life-cycles this produces in actual use, NEODUR HE 3 is geared to the conservation of resources. With a revised formulation, Korodur has now perfected the product in its “NEODUR HE 3 green” variant, the production of which saves up to 30% of the energy used.
