NTP planetary gearbox: Torsional backlash minimized, absorption of external forces improved
The NTP has torsional backlash of ≤ 5 arcmin and is now available in four different sizes from 015 to 045, with maximum torques from 56 to 800 Nm and gear ratios from 4 to 100. Approved, food grade lubricants can be supplied for applications in the food industry. The flange gearbox – which is instantly recognizable from the blue housing with a surrounding design element – can be easily configured with the help of the sizing tool cymex®.
Head start through a combination of best-in-class features
The success of the NTP product series is due not least to the fact that users benefit simultaneously from several best-in-class features, for instance low torsional backlash with higher torque density, high tilting moments with improved synchronization behavior or high torsional stiffness with increased absorption of external forces. After all, it is now even easier for machine manufacturers to deploy WITTENSTEIN gearboxes in axes with the most diverse requirements – and profit from precisely differentiated prices and performance levels.
An eye on the market
From handling to automation and from packaging technology to machine tools, every market and every requirement makes special demands as regards features like torsional backlash, service life, installation space or torque density. The NTP planetary gearbox in WITTENSTEIN’s alpha Value Line caters for a number of steadily growing application segments in the market for precision gearboxes, in which people are well aware of the importance of high performance but are nevertheless obliged to pay attention to cost efficiency.
