Advantech showcases latest product innovations at SPS Italia

Through widespread adoption of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology and the placing of artificial intelligence (AI) at the edge, a multitude of performance and logistical benefits are being realised. As well as boosting productivity and enabling dramatic operational efficiency improvements, such advances mean that systems can be analysed to attain full process optimisation and downtime inconveniences avoided via predictive maintenance.

Advantech will be situated at Hall 6 Booth I042.There will be six thematic areas with interactive demos where visitors can learn more on specific topics and speak to specialist staff – in order to better understand how the technology shown aligns with their own industrial automation plans. The six areas are as follows: 

• AI technology
• Energy management and EV charging
• Digital transformation
• Robotics – including automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) 
• Customisation services, showing Advantech’s capability in designing and manufacturing tailored solutions
• The Tech corner, in which our technical team will demonstrate the full potential of Advantech’s software in real-life scenarios.

Celebrating its 40^th anniversary this year, Advantech has long been established as the dominant force in industrial computing and embedded hardware. Now its ingenuity in relation to IIoT and AI is also being recognised. Advantech technology allows delivery of end-to-end management, with seamless data transfer between all the constituent system elements made possible and interoperability assured. According to Dario Nacawa, Regional Sales Manager Italy & Iberia, Industrial IoT division at Advantech Europe: “Through our co-creation strategy, Advantech is collaborating with partners so that invaluable cross-platform synergies can be achieved. As well as augmenting system capabilities, it means neither system integrators nor end users face supply chain problems.”

Game-changing solutions developed by Advantech and its partners are facilitating AI implementation at the edge, resulting in elevated performance combined with greater flexibility. Making edge-based AI easier for their customers to leverage is a key goal for the Advantech team, and this will be one of the core themes at SPS Italia. Gaetano Ciaravella, Head of Product Division of Rugged Vehicle Solutions at Advantech Europe, comments: “Attendees will get details on edge intelligence systems, IoT gateways and accompanying software available to accelerate AIoT installation work, so facial recognition and object detection functions can be actioned.”

There will also be contributions from several of Advantech’s high profile strategic and technology ecosystem partners – including NVIDIA, AWS, Intel and Microsoft.

This Centre houses a team of over 20 program and project managers who specialise in creating tailored solutions for customers across various industries and markets. With access to the world’s largest portfolio of Embedded IoT technologies and products, the Centre’s skilled professionals can efficiently develop customised embedded solutions in collaboration with customers. Furthermore, Advantech will also present its solutions for accelerating the development of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. As a technology provider in the EV charging value chain, Advantech offers a range of embedded hardware platforms in various form factors, as well as software and firmware support. These solutions enable remote device management, diagnosis, updates, and other OTA features.”
