cleversoft accelerates growth through strategic partnership with Levine Leichtman Capital Partners

Founded in 2004, cleversoft is a leading pan-European provider of mission-critical regulatory software solutions to the financial services industry. The company helps more than 100 banks, asset managers, and insurers to efficiently navigate the ever-changing regulatory environment and ensure compliance. Headquartered in Munich, cleversoft has more than 170 employees with additional offices in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Luxembourg.

cleversoft has grown dynamically in recent years, including through the takeover of the RegTech providers SecondFloor in 2019, BusinessForensics in 2020 and CDDS in July 2021. Through the successful integration of these three companies, the cleversoft group was able to significantly expand its expertise in the areas of regulatory reporting and prevention of financial crime.

These acquisitions were also made possible through a five-year partnership with the private equity firm Main Capital Partners. Through new capital investment, LLCP will now help to accelerate cleversoft future growth. Together with LLCP, cleversoft will accelerate its RegTech service offering globally specifically by leveraging LLCPs broad reach in the U.S. and Europe with acquisitions in new geographies and regulatory verticals.
