Tentacontrol GmbH - Extensions of the certification offer in the field of sustainability

With the EU Commission’s decision on the so-called Green Deal, German economic operators will also have to deal increasingly with the issue of sustainable business management in the future. The issue of sustainability has been deeply rooted in forestry since the early 18th century. At that time, sustainability was defined in the sense that only as much was removed from the forest as grew back.

Today, there is a need for action in German agriculture due to the EU taxonomy, CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directiv) and the Supply Chain Sourcing Obligation Act.

Tentacontrol GmbH therefore plans to include certification according to the DLG sustainability standard in the field of agriculture in its service portfolio in the future. The individual sustainability profile is calculated on the basis of 23 indicators from the areas of ecology, social affairs, economy and management. At the end of the certification process, the participating farm receives a certificate that will make it easier for it to obtain more favourable credits and insurance or to participate in tenders.
