Uplifting duo FLOYA are back with their latest single ‘Lights Out’, a special release for them, as it was the first song they ever wrote and recorded.
“We were jamming somewhere in Norway when we stumbled upon the main riff of the song. Phil went straight into the recording booth and laid down some sketches, it was very natural. I feel like ‘Lights Out’ is an homage to our musical roots, we were very different people when we wrote that one. Lyrically it’s probably the darkest one we did, but the topic it tackles is so important. It’s an amazing feeling to now release it after all this time, it’s very humbling.” said Marv Wilder.

Caught between the stomping beats and airy synths of the EDM world and the overall feel of a modern rock band, FLOYA are a truly special duo. 

Hailing from Germany, Marv Wilder and Phil Bayer found common ground by talking about their childhood influences, namely Peter Gabriel, U2 & Sting. With the vision in mind to fuse a fresh pop rock sound with the aesthetics of EDM and world music, the pair set out to showcase what’s rarely found on todays music market. 

After the successful launch of their smashing single ‚The Hymn‘, the song got featured in an official AFL game between Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs on Australian Television, marking quite the achievement for an act that’s been public for only a few months. FLOYA also received praise in the form of airplay by Kerrang! Radio (UK) and Radio Contact (BE).
Since the release of their first single ‚Wonders‘ the band has amassed over 9 million streams on Spotify alone in this very short time.
