It’s that time again: PDAC will soon be opening its doors
Up to 30,000 participants from more than 130 countries will once again gather in Toronto from March 3 to 6. Founded in 1932, the PDAC (Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada) has grown steadily. Around 1,100 exhibitors and some 700 speakers are expected. It is all about supplying the world with important raw materials. Whether it’s the latest advances in mining services and technology, sustainability in mining, artificial intelligence, critical metals or battery metals, there should be something for all visitors. Technologies also need raw materials for a sustainable, low-carbon and green future.
One of the broad-based companies is Sibanye-Stillwater – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/sibanye-stillwater-ltd/ -, whose projects are located on five continents, primarily in Argentina, South Africa and the USA, and cover a range of important raw materials. Sibanye-Stillwater produces gold, platinum and palladium. But green metals are also in the spotlight, such as lithium (for electricity storage) and copper (for electrification). Uranium is even a by-product of gold production. However, the population not only needs a lower-carbon future, but also sufficient food options. Because the world’s population continues to grow. Better yields can be achieved with potash as a fertilizer, making potash an indispensable part of agriculture.
Millennial Potash – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/millennial-potash-corp/ – is a potash company with an attractive potash project in Gabon, Africa.
However, investors can not only invest in companies that focus on certain commodities. There are also financing companies in the mining sector, such as Queen’s Road Capital Investment – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/queens-road-capital-investment-ltd/ -. The company provides mining companies with capital and earns money itself with convertible bonds. The carefully selected mining companies are about to start production or are already producers.
