Revolution in printing: PSi Laser presents innovative IPDS printing solutions

In the midst of ongoing consolidation in the industrial continuous printing market, particularly in the area of IPDS and AFP print data streams from IBM® systems, many users have been faced with the problem of a lack of successor solutions for their existing printing systems.

Against this background, PSi Laser GmbH presents innovative solutions based on its proven PP 4050XP and PP 4060 printing systems – IPDS-capable printing systems of the next generation. Thanks to the integrated controller, customers now have the option of using their existing print data directly and seamlessly from mainframe systems on PSi Laser printers.A major advantage of this approach is that the customer does not have to make any changes to their existing IT landscape.

PSi Laser’s continuous feed printers are the ideal solution for replacing existing print peripherals without the need for costly hardware and software modifications. With a print resolution of 600 dpi and a paper width of up to 18 inches, the PSi printing systems are the perfect complement to the previously installed printers.

The perforated edge used ensures secure transport of the print medium through the printer and enables the printing of various media, including label material (partially or fully integrated labels), anodized materials and particularly thin or thick materials.

With significantly reduced power consumption, a smaller footprint and the two tractors enabling easy form changeover, the PSi printers offer clear added value at a fraction of the previous cost.
All these improvements are made without the user having to change their usual way of working. The IPDS or AFP data streams from existing printing systems such as IBM® Infoprint 3000, IBM® Infoprint 4000, IBM® Infoprint 6500, IBM® Infoprint 100, IBM® Infoprint 75 and OCE® Variostream systems remain unaffected, and the user’s workflows remain unchanged.

PSi Laser enables users to continue to work with the same print data as before on continuous feed laser printers and, in the case of the replacement of IPDS line printers, to improve print quality at the same time.

Of course, PSi Laser will support users and accompany them during the transition and commissioning until the PSi Laser printers are fully integrated into the existing infrastructure.

The PSi Laser team looks forward to hearing from interested parties at sales@psi-laser.de.

Continuous Forms Printers by PSi Laser – The Flexible And Cost-Effective Solution For Professional Printing Applications

PSi Laser GmbH is one of the leading manufacturers of continuous forms laser printers worldwide. Continuous forms laser and high-end dot matrix printers by PSi have successfully established themselves on the market since 1992.

Innovative product solutions make PSi Laser a trend-setter in the printing industry. With a print throughput of 24 up to 63 pages per minute (ppm) and relatively low costs of ownership, the products close the gap between line printers and centralized high-speed continuous forms printers. In many regions, PSi Laser is the market leader in the segment of continuous forms laser printers up to 60 pages per minute.

Special features, e.g. straight-through paper paths, multiple paper feeders, integrated cutter and the ability to process paper widths up to 18 inches (2 x A4/PP 4060) qualify printers from PSi Laser for a wide range of applications and branches. These would be, for example, banking, logistics, industry or printshops and mail order companies. The headquarters of PSi Laser are located in Freudenberg, Germany. Here, printers are produced for both own label and OEM customers. The products are exclusively distributed by partners, like VARs and distributors. A worldwide sales network and a branch office in Beijing (China) guarantee the direct closeness to the most important growth markets and ensure the best possible local support.
