Doosan Lentjes at IFAT 2024: Immerse yourself in the world of thermal waste and sewage sludge treatment
At the Doosan-Lentjes booth, visitors can also experience virtually how these complex technologies are used in specific projects on the German construction sites in Dinslaken and Wiesbaden. Extensive 360° documentation allows visitors to experience the construction progress of the two projects up close over several years and understand their contribution to more resource conservation.
A modern waste-wood-fired power plant is currently being built in Dinslaken, for which Doosan Lentjes is supplying Lot 1. The turnkey contract includes the delivery, installation, and commissioning of two incineration lines. After commissioning, the new plant will thermally treat around 200,000 tonnes of waste wood per year.
The use of effective grate combustion technology ensures that a maximum of the climate-friendly energy contained in the wood can be utilised for sustainable electricity and heat generation. This reduces the proportion of fossil fuels required and helps the city of Dinslaken save more than 125,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. The modern flue gas cleaning system ensures compliance with the emission limits in accordance with the revised European BAT documents.
In Wiesbaden, Doosan Lentjes is currently the general contractor responsible for the turnkey planning, delivery, installation, and commissioning of a new WtE plant. The new facility will comprise one process line, including grate, steam generator, dry flue gas cleaning and water-steam cycle. Once completed, the WtE plant will thermally treat around 200,000 tonnes of municipal and commercial waste from the greater Wiesbaden area every year.
The high flexibility of the Doosan Lentjes reciprocating grate technology enables simple adaptation to changing fuel properties. This means that waste of varying composition and quality can be reliably thermally treated over the entire service life of the plant.
In a mixed reality (MR), visitors can demonstrate their own skills and carry out important parts of the thermal waste treatment process themselves: Throwing waste into the chute, igniting the fire and removing harmful SO2 molecules from the flue gas – at Doosan Lentjes, there will also be plenty of entertainment on the booth.
The German environmental technology specialist is very much looking forward to IFAT opening its doors for five days from 13 May and can hardly wait to welcome visitors to its booth in Hall A4, Booth 239.
