Logwin AG and Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung present joint biodiversity calendar 2025 for the first time
A symbol for the protection of biodiversity
The calendar sets an example for the protection of biodiversity, one of the most pressing issues of our time. Each of the 6 calendar pages presents a Senckenberg Society project dedicated to researching and promoting biodiversity – from marine research to measures to protect endangered animal species. All projects aim to preserve global biodiversity and promote ecological balance in order to safeguard the quality of life on our planet in the long term.
As an international logistics company, Logwin AG sees it as its duty to make its contribution to sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship. Particular attention is paid to the promotion of diversity. ‘Sustainability determines our entrepreneurial actions: We take responsibility for our employees, for the environment and for social issues. Promoting diversity plays a decisive role in this,’ says Axel Steiner, member of the Executive Committee of Logwin AG. ‘In all facets of responsible entrepreneurship, we rely on cooperation with competent partners. In this sense, we are very happy to support the work of the Senckenberg Society for Nature Research. Their commitment to research into global biodiversity makes an important contribution to the sustainable preservation of the quality of life on our planet.’
Exemplary co-operation
The Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung is one of the world’s leading research institutions in the field of biodiversity and has been researching the ‘Earth system’ worldwide for over 200 years – in the past, the present and with forecasts for the future. Senckenberg researches and documents biodiversity on the planet with the aim of understanding nature and its infinite diversity in order to preserve and sustainably utilise it as the basis of life for future generations. Through close co-operation with international partners and research institutions, Senckenberg makes a significant contribution to translating scientific findings into measures for the protection and promotion of biodiversity.
Those responsible for the project at the Senckenberg Gesellschaft are very positive about the joint project, which is a first of its kind. Dr Martin Čepek, Head of Fundraising at the Senckenberg Gesellschaft für Naturforschung: ‘We are thoroughly delighted with both the result and the quality of the collaboration on this calendar project. The common path was characterised by commitment and mutual understanding between the two partners involved. An exemplary cooperation between business and us as a non-profit organisation.’
The joint calendar is not only a visual highlight, but also an important contribution to the topic of sustainability. It is intended to raise awareness and draw attention to the importance of biodiversity – for a harmonious coexistence of people and nature.
