Showcasing mobility innovations

Forklifts, electrically powered pedestrian pallet trucks, increasingly sophisticated AMRs, and autonomous transport vehicles: These are the backbone of intralogistics. Manufacturers are continuously improving their equipment to offer users even more options for optimization and greater efficiency in their warehouse transports. Across all product segments, the focus is on powertrain technology, driver assistance systems, ease of use, efficiency, and flexibility. “The integration of new technologies into the devices ensures greater efficiency,” explains LogiMAT Exhibition Director Michael Ruchty from Munich-based event organizer EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH. “The use of new powertrain systems improves the carbon footprint of companies. And ultimately, state-of-the-art transport equipment can also help alleviate the shortage of skilled workers in intralogistics. That’s why industrial trucks and robotics loom so large at LogiMAT.”

All major international industrial truck manufacturers will once again be represented at LogiMAT 2025, presenting their newest innovations in forklifts, pickers, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) in Halls 9 and 10. Specialized AMR manufacturers and providers are again concentrated nearby this year, just opposite in Hall 8. In the field of robotics, several system and equipment manufacturers are also presenting transport vehicles in Halls 1, 3, 5, and 7. The gallery level in Hall 1 will also host the latest applications and developments in the field of industrial picking robots. “All this means that LogiMAT 2025 will once again offer a topical overview of the full spectrum of intralogistics mobility,” promises Exhibition Director Ruchty.

For this year, industrial truck manufacturers have already announced plans to unveil new traditional and electric sideloader forklift series, along with several innovations not yet seen anywhere in the world. The trends among vehicle developers are defined by flexible deployment options and further optimizations in how trucks are equipped to ensure a more comfortable and ergonomic workplace for operators. The growing demand for sustainable, zero-emission powertrain systems is driving the ongoing evolution of equipment with lithium-ion batteries and fuel cell technology. EP Equipment (Hall 10, Booth F65), based in Hangzhou, is a global market leader in the field of lithium-ion warehouse technology. In addition to a new series of high-voltage lithium-ion forklift trucks and AMRs, the company is presenting the XP15, the world’s first automated cobot for pallet transport. Equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and advanced lithium-ion batteries, the devices are designed to reduce energy consumption by 15 percent compared to conventional models. Clark Europe (Hall 10, Booth B78) is coming to LogiMAT with a wide range of new products. On display for the first time: the new crossover series, the new COP2 order picker, and new 3- and 4-wheel forklifts for loads of 1.6 to 2 metric tons, which supplement the S-Series Electric from Clark. The two new crossover series L25-35XE and S25-35XE with load capacities of 2.5 to 3.5 tons are veritable green powerhouses, designed to combine the reliability of combustion engines with the environmental benefits of lithium-ion batteries.

Option for lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries
Linde Material Handling (Hall 10, Booths 10B21, 10B17, 10C38) will be celebrating the launch of its new automation solutions as well as the Linde E and Xi electric counterbalance trucks in the payload range up to 2 metric tons. The new 3- and 4-wheel electric forklifts Xi10 to Xi20 have an integrated 90-volt lithium-ion battery and a synchronous reluctance motor for fast acceleration and lifting and lowering speeds. The plug-and-play design of the Linde E14 to E20 models allows operators to switch between lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries or continue using existing batteries. Toyota Material Handling Deutschland (Hall 10, Booth 10G41) will be represented in Stuttgart with two booths. At its second location (Hall 10, Booth 10H48), the industrial truck manufacturer is appearing together with its subsidiaries Viastore and Vanderlande as the Toyota Automated Logistics Group with an exclusive focus on new industrial truck models and automated solutions. The exhibitor will also share insights into the near and distant future of intralogistics as defined by robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles. “With three new product launches in the forklift and warehouse technology product categories, the primary focus is on energy efficiency, ergonomics, and safety,” says Jan Lorenz, Managing Director of Toyota Material Handling Deutschland.

The Austrian manufacturer Bulmor Industries (Hall 10, Booth 10F51) is coming to LogiMAT 2025 with its new EQ(n) 50-80 G02 series of electric sideloaders. Improvements over earlier models include the optimized electronic control system, a fully touch-enabled 7” display, a new touch-sensitive joystick that can be operated even with gloves, and a height-adjustable, swivel-mounted steering column. A single-pump system replaces the earlier double-pump design, resulting in lower energy consumption. Miag Fahrzeugbau (Hall 9, Booth 9D11), a specialist in explosion-proof industrial trucks, is coming to Stuttgart to present the latest incarnations of its proven models, unveiling the 4th generation of its popular 3- and 4-wheel forklifts for payloads of 1.6/1.8 and 2.0 metric tons. The latest models feature improved ergonomics, seating comfort, and maneuverability for the operator. The operator station with its multifunction armrest and integrated electro-hydraulics is designed to offer outstanding sensitivity and responsiveness with proportional fingertip joysticks. An electronic differential gear provides better traction, and mast configurations include simplex, duplex, and triplex design for lifting heights up to 6,500 mm. Kalmar Germany (Hall 10, Booth G21) is showcasing an electric forklift truck with a lithium-ion battery and 16-ton lifting capacity in the West Entrance as well as a refurbished electric forklift truck with an 8-ton capacity at its exhibit hall booth. Kalmar’s intent here is to demonstrate that electric forklift trucks can also handle heavy loads – and, once thoroughly overhauled, can even have an extended second or third life. “The wide range of new products and solutions on display underscores the innovative capacity of manufacturers in consistently integrating new technologies to make industrial trucks even more versatile and efficient,” says Ruchty. “The range of products offered by exhibitors in the field of mobile robotics and AGVs points toward a level of automation that requires less and less personnel.”

Labor shortages coupled with cost pressures and the desire for flexibility through scalable system designs are indeed fueling a sustained demand for automation and autonomous mobility in warehouses – AMRs, shuttles, cobots, carrybots, and AGVs. Flexibility here means not only the scalability of the systems, but also the opportunities for their deployment. Exhibitors and system manufacturers specializing in this product segment, including the Austrian company Knapp (Hall 8, Booth 8C71), will be showcasing the latest solutions and their current product portfolio of service robots at LogiMAT 2025 in Hall 8. To satisfy the demand for flexibility, Knapp will demonstrate various models and the deployment of AMRs working in tandem with other warehouse robotics solutions. Project Automation & Engineering (Hall 8, Booth 8A37) is also coming to Stuttgart with two new models of the MHS (Mobile Handling Solution) driverless vehicle, which can be deployed alongside a cobot for a wide range of use cases. The innovations are based on advanced technologies that allow the system to select routes autonomously and to detect and navigate around obstacles. Jungheinrich subsidiary Magazino (Hall 8, Booth 8C17) is rising to the challenges of modern intralogistics with its latest robotic solutions, including updates to its smart AMR Soto and the next generation of its picking robot Toru.

Transport robots with automatic pallet detection
Innok Robotics (Hall 8, Booth 8A45) is coming to Stuttgart with the latest version of its Induros transport robot, which can pull loads of up to one metric ton, navigate around obstacles, and operate both indoors and outdoors. In the AGV segment, Movanis (Hall 8, Booth 8F06) is among those presenting new indoor and outdoor equipment. Automatic pallet detection and laser technology for safe navigation around obstacles make the li-ion battery vehicles suitable for outdoor use. “We have developed exclusive algorithms to master the unique conditions found outdoors,” explains General Manager Bart Clymans. The AGV also boasts an automatic charge time of just 12 minutes.

In addition, the Mobile Robotics User Forum returns in 2025 to the gallery level in Hall 6, where members of Forum AGV will offer unbiased expert advice to AGV users and anyone interested in mobile robotics. The diverse accompanying program at LogiMAT 2025 includes 15 Expert Forums featuring prestigious industry leaders, some 70 presentations in the Exhibitor Insights series, and live events in the exhibit halls and open spaces – all underscoring LogiMAT’s reputation as the industry’s leading information platform. “The slate of international exhibitors in industrial truck and AMR technology, offering such an unparalleled wealth of information and the opportunity to experience the whole spectrum of recent innovations and forward-looking solutions, make LogiMAT 2025 yet again a must-attend event.
