The LEO transporter system from BITO ensures cost- efficient, simple and flexible automated material flow

Hall 8 | Stand A31

The driverless transport system from BITO-Lagertechnik Bittmann GmbH is a smart solution for anyone looking for a simple and cost-effective way to automate the material flow in warehousing and order picking. At the LogiMAT 2025, BITO-Lagertechnik will be presenting their LEO automated guided vehicle system for the first time at a separate stand in hall 8. Given their own space, the LEO team will be demonstrating the various LEO transporter variants and their applications to visitors, from standard to complex end-to-end solutions. What makes the BITO driverless transport system so special and for which application is the system the ideal solution? Discover how simple, economical and highly efficient it is to automate material flows and that automating intralogistics processes does not always have to be an expensive and complex undertaking.

BITO LEO AGVs make it easy for users to get started with material flow automation, from as little as EUR 20,000. Not only the investment costs, but also the implementation costs are low, as there is no need for time-consuming software configuration. Based on the principle of “keep automation simple”, the system is a particularly flexible all-in-one solution that is ready for immediate use. It operates independently without an IT connection. ROI of this easily scalable solution is achieved within the first 12 months of purchase. What’s more, the system does not take up much space and therefore also works in confined spaces and small warehouses and production halls.

All LEO transporters have two features in common: An optical track that is taped to the floor to guide the transporter along the route, and floor markers to indicate stops, loading commands or route commands. This means the basic installation is already complete. On very busy service vehicle routes on which the track tape could be permanently damaged by exposure to extreme wear and tear, LEO transporters can now bridge the gap without the need for a track tape.

What are the applications of LEO automated guided vehicles from BITO and which LEO variants are available?

BITO LEO transporters connect workstations with each other and support a wide variety of in-house processes. They can be used for supplying storage and picking areas with fresh stock, they can take the function of an assembly line with the advantage of not being permanently fixed to the floor, or they can be used to provide buffer stock in production environments. The driverless, flexible and individually adaptable transport system not only saves the user a lot of travel routes and therefore time. It also eliminates the need for costintensive alternative solutions.

Since the first LEO transporter was launched in 2017 as an autonomous transporter for bins, cartons and containers, the LEO transporter family has been growing steadily and opening up new fields of application which can be automated and developed with this simple and very economical system. The potential offered by BITO AGVs is huge. By continuously optimising and further developing the system, the specialist for customeroriented intralogistics solutions is adapting to the dynamic market conditions in the logistics sector, the rapidly growing e-commerce sector and the production sector. In addition, the LEO system offers a valuable alternative solution, particularly in times of skilled labour shortage.

LEO flow and LEO carrier vehicles are new additions to the LEO transporter family. LEO flow enables space-saving transportation in in-house logistics and production settings in combination with conveyor technology. This LEO transporter variant is equipped with a conveyor belt and is therefore suitable for transporting both containers and trays as well as non-packaged goods of non-standardised sizes. The LEO carrier variant features an on-top mounted shelving unit consisting of four shelf levels. Level spacing can be adjusted for individual adaptation to the goods to be transported.
