More renewable energies, more electricity storage, more raw materials
Technologies are advancing in the field of electric vehicles and renewable energies. Many new developments are improving and facilitating the transition to a low-CO2 future. For example, a German car manufacturer (Mercedes) has now developed a type of solar paint. This could greatly extend the range of electric vehicles. The electricity would be fed into the vehicle’s electrical system or used to charge the battery. In optimal lighting conditions, an electric car with solar paint could cover up to 12,000 kilometers per year. The range anxiety would thus be a thing of the past. The car manufacturer has not yet commented on when or whether the paint technology can be used. The majority of electric vehicles are still powered by high-performance lithium-ion batteries. The fact is that the demand for storage capacity is increasing. Battery metals such as lithium should therefore continue to be in high demand.
Lithium owns Century Lithium – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/century-lithium-corp/ – in its Angel Island project in Nevada. The pilot plant there is already supplying lithium carbonate with a purity of 99.5 percent.
Green Bridge Metals – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/green-bridge-metals-corp/ – has focused on battery raw materials, including nickel. The projects are located in Ontario and Manitoba.
