Relying on silver, the energy metal of modern solutions

For thousands of years, people have been thinking about how energy sources can be used. From wood-burning stoves to the shift to coal, especially during the industrial revolution and the oil era in the 19th century, energy production has always been important. As civilization progressed, the demand for energy increased. Oil scored over coal with its properties, but the dominance of coal continued. Then, in the 20th century, natural gas was added as an efficient fuel. The importance of silver has increased since then, as its special properties such as reflectivity, conductivity, corrosion protection, malleability and antimicrobial effect make it an indispensable component of modern energy systems.

The precious metal is now used in power plants (cables, switches, connections), AI data centers and offshore wind projects. There is also the important area of solar energy, batteries and fuel cells and electromobility. No wonder silver is in deficit, as consumption is greater than new discoveries in the mining sector. The transition to renewable and sustainable energies makes silver the energy metal of the future. Space travel and military applications are also dependent on this precious metal, and silver will therefore play a decisive role in the future of energy. It is also, of course, an investment metal similar to gold and is often targeted as a safe haven. Investors can bet on silver with stocks such as Endeavour Silver or MAG Silver
