Foundation, constant growth and structure of the customer base
OMNINET was founded on April 1st, 1995, in Eckental by Dr. Joachim Lenzer as a company for individual software development. The quality assurance tool, which was already being used internally, was then developed into a fully-fledged product—this way, the OMNITRACKER business process platform was born in 1998. The digitalization and automation of business processes have been at the center of OMNINET’s flexible software solutions from the very beginning, which are used by customers from sectors such as (IT) services, healthcare, public administration, energy supply and industry.
Founder Dr. Joachim Lenzer sums up: “It makes me proud that OMNINET remains family-owned and is in a healthy position 30 years after it was founded. The OMNITRACKER platform offers modular applications for business areas such as IT service management, governance, risk management and compliance, as well as project management and software development—and many others. Thanks to the platform’s low-code functionality, solutions can be easily adapted, and new applications can be developed quickly.OMNINET is positioning itself as an attractive and future-proof employer in the Nuremberg metropolitan region—also thanks to flexible working models and benefits for employees. A partner program complements the internationally oriented sales strategy in addition to the existing international locations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria.

With the founding of its subsidiary OMNIVOLUTION at the end of 2023, OMNINET has gained additional expertise and expanded capacities in the area of front-end development. This is the Eckental-based family firm’s response to the growing demands on user experience (UX) and web-based applications. Modern software solutions are no longer just about functionality but increasingly about intelligent user guidance. In concrete terms, this means that information is only visible or accessible when it is relevant for the respective work step. This systematic user guidance optimizes company processes, saves resources and increases customer satisfaction.
