Maritime Origins: Tuuci at the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2023

Tuuci, the Miami-based sunshade manufacturer, is now exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile.Milano for the eleventh time. Designed in the style of a luxurious garden, the Tuuci exhibition stand offers inspiration for architects, planners and consumers, while impressively conveying the company’s nautical roots. Sand-coloured sunshades in various sizes, shapes and with various add-ons are presented on large-format ceramic tiles – an installation that whisks visitors away into the atmosphere of a summer garden. Tuuci’s maritime DNA will also take centre stage. Sophisticated technology and highest standards – thanks to marine-grade construction and salt-water-repellent high-performance textiles, Tuuci parasols withstand even the most extreme weather conditions.

The Tuuci stand is a showcase of the highest maritime performance and at the same time of luxurious relaxation: with the new "Ocean Master MEGA MAX Classic", Tuuci presents its largest sunshade to date, setting new standards in the functional shading of spacious outdoor areas.

Presented for the first time featuring a round shape, a specimen of the "Ocean Master MEGA MAX Classic" impressively conveys to visitors how Tuuci draws on technology, robust design and its maritime roots to create an elegant shading structure that meets the highest standards.

Inspired by classic sailing yacht architecture, the design of the "Ocean Master MAX Nautical Teak" sets a new standard for teak parasols. The uniquely reinforced mast features an aluminium ‘backbone’ that lends the parasol additional strength and makes it possible for the first time to integrate an internal telescopic crank lift system into a teak parasol.

An example of the premium version of the "Ocean Master MAX Classic Cantilever" – equipped with LED lighting, heaters and a motor to automatically open and close the canopy – demonstrates the versatility of the Tuuci product range. With these features, the parasol also offers maximum comfort in the evening or on cooler days.

However, it is not only innovative functionality, but also modular design that allows for a customised outdoor experience and a harmonious ambience at all times: whether with contrasting pockets, binding in a wide range of colours, accent borders, tassels or flounces – the "Ocean Master M1 Pagoda" provides numerous variations to make a very personal design statement.

The "Ocean Master M1 Crescent" parasol is visually characterised by its blend of historical inspiration and modern design, making it the perfect addition to any outdoor space. Its sweeping curves lend it an elegant look. The shiny polished end caps of the struts decorate the edges of the canopy, while the hand-turned struts are arranged in cascades, resulting in a simple yet stunning overall effect.

The "Solanox" is a modular sun cabana that transforms terraces, pool areas and gardens into outdoor living rooms. In addition to its stylish design, the "Solanox" features technical refinements such as heaters, LED spotlights and a fully automated roof that automatically adjusts to different weather conditions.

Inspired by seafaring – designed for luxurious lifestyle

The special feature of the Tuuci shade structures lies in their unique functional and aesthetically superior form, which can be customised down to the smallest detail. Maritime performance and luxurious design go hand in hand for the American company, which is why the slogan "nautically inspired design to endure nature’s extremes" welcomes visitors at the entrance to the stand. Behind the bar, the words "Precision. Performance." also point out the marine-grade quality of the products, which can withstand the toughest weather conditions. Tuuci’s materials are tested by extreme nautical sports enthusiasts and unrelenting wind tunnels, thus ensuring that they will continue to be optimally suited for outdoor experiences in years to come.
