Dillinger’s sustainability strategy again takes the Gold

Dillinger has already successfully positioned itself as a company with sustainable and responsible operations in the CSR ratings conducted by EcoVadis in recent years. In the latest assessment, the very good result from the previous year improved yet again – with 74 points, Dillinger is among the top 2% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in the “Production of hot metal and steel” sector. The rating, which corresponds to the Gold level, is valid until February 2024.

“Implementing our sustainability strategy covers many facets, from sustainable procurement to reducing emissions in production processes. The once again very good EcoVadis rating shows that we are turning current challenges into opportunities for our company,” explained Danny van der Hout, Chief Sales Officer at Dillinger. In the categories ethics as well as labor and human rights, the previous year’s results improved by 20 and 10 points, respectively.

The EcoVadis assessment is based on a defined scorecard. This includes the criteria of the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the International Organization for Standardization for the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Specification of defined evaluation criteria enables companies certified by EcoVadis to be compared internationally.
