With around 8,100 tons, the US central bank has the largest gold reserves. Russia’s central bank is said to have around 2,300 tons of gold. Gold is also in demand among private individuals as a store of value. According to a survey, almost six million private individuals in this country over the age of 14 or living in the household own gold. Gold is now a largely crisis-proof investment opportunity.
