  • – Sustainable steel production: Presentation of bluemint® Steel, products for CO2-reduced steels by thyssenkrupp Steel
    – High-performance electrical steel strip: Presentation of powercore® Traction, specially developed for electric motors and contributing to increasing the efficiency of electric vehicles
    – Joint trade fair appearance: After six years, thyssenkrupp Steel and thyssenkrupp Automotive are once again presenting their latest innovations and technologies together at IZB 2024, booth 6202 in hall 6

thyssenkrupp Steel, one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-quality steel products, will present its latest innovations and technologies at the 12th International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg from October 22 to 24, 2024. The trade fair, which is regarded as the leading event in the automotive supply industry, offers an ideal platform for suppliers like thyssenkrupp to present the latest trends and developments in the industry.

Innovative products for the automotive industry

At IZB 2024, thyssenkrupp Steel will present a range of products and solutions tailored specifically to the requirements of the modern automotive industry. The highlights include:

  • bluemint® Steel: bluemint® Steel represents sustainable and environmentally friendly steel production and is therefore an important step towards climate-neutral mobility.
  • powercore® Traction: High-performance electrical steel strip specially developed for use in electric motors. powercore® Traction offers outstanding magnetic properties and contributes to increasing the efficiency of electric vehicles.
  • scalur®: A hot-rolled steel characterized by very narrow thickness tolerances, high strength, and excellent formability. scalur® is ideal for the production of complex structural components in the automotive industry.
  • pladur®: A coated or foiled quality steel that has been inspiring customers from various industries for over 60 years in line with the motto ‘finish first, fabricate later’. Not only should the surface be corrosion-protective, easy to process and environmentally friendly, special surface structures, decorative appearances or scratch resistance are increasingly becoming the focus of attention.
  • MBW® AS Pro: The next generation of hot forming for maximum component and process reliability in automotive engineering. The steel is characterized by exceptionally high strength, which enables weight reduction while maintaining or improving safety. A protective layer of hot-dip galvanizing or zinc-magnesium ensures high corrosion resistance.
  • jetQ®: High-strength AHSS materials of the third generation for geometrically complex crash structures allowing resource-saving lightweight car body construction.
  • CH-W®: High-strength multiphase steels for maximum weight savings and maximum service life of complex chassis components.
  • tubor®: Manganese-boron steels with good forming properties and high strength for precision steel tubes.
  • precidur® HD-Stähle: Customized solutions for maximum safety in chassis components.

“IZB is an important platform for us to present our latest developments to an international trade audience. Our innovative products such as bluemint® Steel and powercore® Traction demonstrate how we are shaping the future of mobility through technological advances and sustainable production processes,” says Simon Stephan, Head of Automotive Sales at thyssenkrupp Steel Europe.

The trade fair also offers numerous opportunities for technical discussions and networking. Experts from thyssenkrupp Steel will be on hand at booth 6202 in hall 6 to provide detailed information on the products on display and their applications.

International Suppliers Fair (IZB) as a central platform for the automotive supplier industry

Since its foundation in 2001, the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) has established itself as the central platform for the automotive supplier industry. With over 800 exhibitors from more than 30 nations, the trade fair offers a unique opportunity to discover the latest innovations and technologies in the industry. The motto of IZB 2024 is “Connected innovation – partnerships as drivers of change” and focuses on key topics such as electrification, autonomous driving and Industry 4.0.

This year, thyssenkrupp Steel is looking forward to being represented at a trade fair together with thyssenkrupp Automotive again after six years. This cooperation underlines the close connection and joint commitment of both companies to the future of the automotive industry.

thyssenkrupp Steel will present its latest products and technologies at IZB 2024. Industry experts and trade visitors are cordially invited to visit the thyssenkrupp booth.
