Exclusive interview: Exhibition Director Michael Ruchty provides insights into press relations for LogiMAT 2025
1) Mr. Ruchty, EUROEXPO and PresseBox have been working together for several years. How has this partnership developed over time?
"The partnership with PresseBox has existed for around 15 years and has developed steadily over the years. Originally, the focus was on traditional press relations, i.e. the distribution of press releases and the provision of image material. Over time, however, the importance of digital reach and targeted specialist communication has increased enormously. 3) How do you see the role of content and storytelling in modern trade fair communication? Which formats are particularly effective in the intralogistics sector?
"Content and storytelling are indispensable in today’s trade fair communication. Content is the targeted provision of information. This can be in the form of specialist articles, application examples, videos, or blog posts. In a technically orientated industry such as intralogistics, however, it is also important to present complex solutions in a comprehensible and attractive way. Storytelling presents content in the form of an emotional story that makes complex topics tangible and comprehensible. It shows the target group the specific added value of a product instead of just listing its functions. 5) What current trends or topics do you expect to be at the forefront at LogiMAT 2025?
"LogiMAT 2025 will be strongly characterised by topics such as digitisation, automation, and sustainability. We see a clear trend towards artificial intelligence and machine learning. This facilitates the design of more efficient processes and new opportunities to optimise the supply chain. The topic of sustainable logistics will also play an important role, as companies are increasingly looking for environmentally friendly and resource-efficient solutions.
Finally, securing skilled personnel will also be a key issue, as the industry relies on well-trained employees to be able to use the new technologies effectively. Complexity must remain manageable and man and machine must work together appropriately. On the third day of the trade fair, LogiMAT will once again be hosting the LogiMAT Campus, where the HR managers of the exhibitors will present themselves as employers. The target group at this career and networking event are students, vocational apprentices, and career changers who want to get started in intralogistics."
