Reconciling digitalization and sustainability
Digital transformation offers opportunities and tools for this. The key is to closely integrate digitization and sustainability: according to the motto “two are better than one”, both transformations should be thought of and understood together. Only in this way synergies can be optimally used and the so-called Twin Transformation successfully implemented.
Intensive course for executives and employees
TUM Campus Heilbronn offers a seminar on this topic as part of its Continuing Education Program: “Digital Transformation for Sustainability – Digital Tools for the Twin Transformation”. The intensive course is aimed primarily at managers and employees in the fields of IT and environmental management, but all other interested parties are also welcome. Participants learn important theories and practical tools from both subject areas. The first part of the course focuses on the theoretical basics. These are then combined with practical transfer tasks. This enables participants to learn how to apply the course content to their own company. Keynote speeches by industry experts complement the modules and provide deeper insights into the respective topics.
The course will take place in February 2025 and includes eight lecture days spread over two months at the TUM Campus Heilbronn. Further information and the opportunity to register by January 19, 2025 are available on the website of TUM Campus Heilbronn gGmbH. There will also be an online info session on January 16 and February 4, 2025, where interested parties can learn about the structure and content of the program and what benefits they can get from it. Registration for the info sessions is also possible here.
Funding for small and medium-sized enterprises
A further note for anyone interested: “Digital Transformation for Sustainability – Digital Tools for the Twin Transformation” is funded by the Heilbronn Economic Development Corporation as part of the POLREC project. Small and medium-sized enterprises in the polymer and elastomer industry that want to reduce their plastic waste through innovative recycling solutions can apply for funding of up to Euro 2,920 until February 25, 2025. This funding can be used for the seminar, among other things. Further information is available on the application portal or by sending an e-mail to weiterbildung@tumheilbronn-ggmbh.de.
