INAM Launches Lab to Market Program for Researchers in Advanced Materials
The program is an initiative by INAM – the Innovation Network for Advanced Materials and the universities and research institutions in its network to support and encourage researchers and future entrepreneurs to take their ideas out of the lab and see them on an industrial scale.
Researchers and entrepreneurs who want to understand the business potential of their scientific idea and start developing their business plan are encouraged to apply to the program. In addition, researchers have the opportunity to expand their personal network outside of academia, hear from industry experts and IP advisors, and thus advance their ideas.
An introductory workshop will be given on February 24th 2021 which aims to assess whether or not a research idea or invention has market potential. Applications to the Lab to Market program will take place from February 24th, following the workshop, to March 21st 2021. Finalists will be selected a week afterwards and the program will begin on April 5th and will end with a Demo Day on April 22nd.
The Lab to Market program will have various training and workshops including but not limited to pitch trainings with the INAM team, an IP Strategy Session, a market validation session with industry experts of the INAM network and a session about public funding.
