GO Europe launches „HP“ document shredders and laminators

Broad range of products that satisfy a variety of customer needs

The newly developed appliances have been designed according to HP’s design and colour language and are available in two product lines: the series "OneShred" and "OneLam", perfectly suited for home use and small departments, are available in online shops. The series "Pro Shredder" and "Pro Laminator", intended for professional in-company use, are sold in specialised office supply shops.

The assortment of shredders consisting of 14 individual models ranges from a compact document shredder with a cutting capacity of eight sheets and security level P-4 to the largest model that can shred 24 sheets simultaneously and has a removable collection container with a filling volume of 30 litres. In addition, there are suitable solutions for all other groups of users – including for the currently topical area of the home office – as the shredders are all extremely quiet and therefore ideal for use in home workstations. The document shredders are characterised by their innovative and intuitive handling options. Shredder oil and shredder oil sheets for care and cleaning of the appliances round off the range of products.

Similar to the document shredders, the six different laminators cover the entire spectrum of laminating needs including the hobby sector, home office use and professional environments. The top-of-the-range model is the six-roller laminator with a very rapid warm-up time and an exceptional laminating speed (availability date to be announced). Suitable HP laminating pouches are available in the "Everyday" series from online shops and retailers or as the "Premium" versions from specialised office supply shops.

Brand name "HP" as major pull factor

According to Heinz Prygoda, director of GO Europe GmbH, "HP has a very good reputation and garners a high degree of trust among users in the office segment. It is a complete novelty to occupy these product categories with a global top brand from the IT segment. From a sales perspective, this enables us to create entirely new possibilities in Germany and, more importantly, abroad."

The two companies GENIE GmbH & Co. KG and Olympia Business Systems Vertriebs GmbH merged in early 2019 to create GO Europe GmbH. The provider of office equipment, headquartered in Hattingen (Germany), signed an exclusive licensing agreement with HP Inc. for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Co-director Christian Gerth states: "We firmly believe that document shredders and laminators with the brand name HP will soon enjoy a firm position in the office equipment market. First listings and sales announcements with the retail trade have been extremely positive and highly promising."

The brand HP complements the existing portfolio in the office segment of GO Europe GmbH, which also encompasses the brands Genie, IOIO and Olympia. The products are available in international specialised office supply shops, the non-food departments of leading chain stores as well as in online shops.
