From now on there is more transparency for free transport capacities on the market.
The Intermodal Capacity Broker significantly simplifies the entry into combined transport, especially for small and medium-sized companies. The CT entry portal provides an additional sales channel to market free capacities for operators and trucking companies on the first and last mile. On this basis and in accordance with the respective transport requirements, various route options, including price, distance and CO2 emissions caused, are proposed to the forwarder, even for small quantities or non-cranable equipment. Booking intermodal transports as easy as online shopping.
The program of the ICB product launch offered some highlights. The first booking was made live, so that all participants got a good insight into the portal and its functions. Furthermore, the CEO Dominik Fürste, the Rail-Flow team, and well-known stakeholder had a speaking slot. Steffen Bilger, former logistics representative of the German government and parliamentary state secretary, gave a welcoming speech and Prof. Dr. Dirk Engelhardt (BGL), Jens Pawlowski (BGL) and Martin Roggermann (Allianz pro Schiene) shared insights into common entry barriers for small companies in combined transport. They clearly demonstrated how the entry barriers can be overcome with the help of a CT entry portal, such as ICB. Almost 200 event participants from all over Europe underlined the interest and the need for a neutral solution for all market participants. Within a week, Rail-Flow was already able to win additional companies for the portal and is in contact with further ones.
The start-up simplifies access to rail freight and increases its efficiency. The digital ecosystem developed by Rail-Flow offers an innovative collaboration and transport management solutions along the entire value chain of intermodal and rail freight transport.
This accelerates processes, strengthens the competitiveness of rail, and supports the achievement of climate targets through the modal shift to rail.
