Kred-Domain: Your Address for Internet and Blockchain
They are designed to be accessible via DNS for traditional Internet activities (websites, e-mail, etc.) as well as for public addresses of Ethereum-based products / services (crypto wallets, smart contracts, remote apps etc.) – unlike the 40-character hashes that currently identify all of Ethereum’s blockchain-based elements.
The Kred-Domain is also able to combine the Ethereum blockchain identification system with easy-to-remember words of the registrants choosing, increasing trust and credibility – as well as ease-of-use – to every transaction.
The Kred-Domain provides users with the ability to use yourname.kred as the secure identifier instead of a meaningless, 40-character hash. On top of this, the Kred-Domain has all of the functionality of a regular domain extension (website, email, etc.).
ICANN accredited Registrar Secura doesn’t sell existing kred-domains of the secondary market , but offers to register any available new kred-Domain for you.
Kred-Domains may be stanandard domain names or Premium-Domains. If you have selected a premium domain, we will inform you about the price.
The Kred-Domain can be used for the ETH wallet. But also for Smart Contracts and Decentralized Applications (DApps).
The advantage of the so far often used .eth domain is, that owners of this cryptocurrency can substitute the 40-character addresses, which are not memorable, by a name like e.g. ben.eth and use the short ben.eth for all transactions.
The domain extension .eth belongs to the alternative root systems. The disadvantage is that both partners must download a special software in order that the routing works.
The owners of these .eth domain names can now preferably register the corresponding Kred-Domains.
The Kred-Domains as an official ICANN accredited domain extension avoid the mentioned disadvantage. As user must not download a plug in software like at .eth, all transactions will become easier.
Domainregistry.de offers also the payment of Kred-Domains with Ether.
