Drone technology and raw materials

.
The increasing number of drones is just one aspect leading to greater demand for battery metals.

The use of drones is also increasing in mining. Digitizing workflows and operations, increasing efficiency and safety – that’s what drones are increasingly doing. They can control crowds, assist in search and rescue operations, act to protect wildlife and more. Mines can be monitored, and drones can also provide aerial imagery and map areas. The mining sector has recognized the value of drone use, including freeing people from dangerous and repetitive tasks and optimizing safety. Underground, these little helpers can penetrate unexplored areas, old mining sites or abandoned mine shafts. Even the most difficult and inaccessible areas can be visualized and mapped.

Drones and also ground-based robots are conquering the world, including mining, especially in traditional metal and gold mines. The robots can crawl, for example, overcome obstacles such as stairs and carry payloads. Equipped with infrared or thermal imaging cameras, they can also take pictures at night and under adverse conditions or inspect surveillance areas. The use of drones is particularly suitable for security applications, for example to prevent theft. They can be deployed quickly and quietly by a small crew. This and many other new technologies are made possible by the use of lithium-ion batteries. Among other things, these need lithium, which has often been desperately sought after. Mining companies such as Alpha Lithium or ION Energy have this in their projects.

Alpha Lithiumhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4FylM829Vg – is one of the largest in the famous lithium triangle in Argentina. There is very high-grade lithium here. The start of production is not far away.

ION Energyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAZP4Xrc-0M – has two lithium projects in Mongolia. Here, too, the lithium is of high quality. And Asia as a future customer is close by.
