Innodisk’s FPGA solutions
With the EXMU-X261 Machine Vision Solution Kit, Innodisk provides its customers with an in-house developed FPGA solution. The kit with the Xlinix Kria K26 SOM can be used in a temperature range from 0°C to +70°C. Optionally, the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C is supported. The solution has a long product life cycle and high flexibility. Interfaces include 1 x HDMI 1.4, 4 x USB 3.1 Gen1, 1 x GbE LAN and 1 x 15pin terminal block (GPIOx5, UARTx1, CANbus x2, I2C x1). Other features include 1 x M.22242 M-key, 1x M.2 2230 A-key slots and one Micro SD slot. The K26 SOM includes 256K system logic cells and can provide 1.4 TOPS AI processing power. H.264/265 video codecs are also used. Already integrated is iCAP, the Innodisk cloud administration tool for remote control and monitoring of the status of the scattered platforms and pre-built hardware acceleration with BSP / pre-trained AI models.
Innodisk’s integrated device management consists of software and hardware tools that collect application information from edge devices to improve product operation. These tools are responsible for data security and privacy (iSMART, iOPAL, iTracker), remote management (iCap), and dual-band management (InnoAGE, InnoAgent). iCAP provides a browser-accessible dashboard and can manage AI models and provides users with instant visibility into the execution status of AI models. It supports heterogeneous AI model management and remote deployment. Dual-band management provides 24/7 non-stop service and leads to improved reliability of AI applications. In the process, it supports secondary developments. It provides SDK (Software Development Kit) to enable customers to customize software requirements according to project needs.
Defect Inspection is an essential area in manufacturing. Visual inspection ensures that the product works and looks as expected, bringing significant benefits to manufacturers and customers. It is critical to have a fast and highly accurate inspection system in place to detect defects during these advanced engineering steps. Without AI, operators must manually inspect each product; it takes an average of three seconds to inspect an item. In addition, the accuracy of the manual inspection can vary greatly depending on the operator’s skill level. To make this process more efficient and reduce inaccuracies, Innodisk has developed the EXMU-X261 Machine Vision Solution Kit, an edge AI solution for multi-channel object detection or classification. Other applications include retail, where Innodisk’s remote management technology reduces maintenance costs by 80%. In surveillance, the global market is expected to grow at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 8% from 2021 to 2025. The implementation of Innodisk’s AIoT technology accelerates production processes and robust and customized solutions improve the safety of mobility in transportation.
