Arvato Systems‘ IT solution for verifying the authenticity of pharmaceuticals will continue to be used in Spain in the future. After the EU country had already decided on the national verification system from Arvato Systems in 2019, the cooperation has now been extended for another five years. In February 2019, EU Directive 2011/62/EU against counterfeit medicines came into force, specifying that prescription medicines may only be sold if they are marked with two specific safety features. Auch in Zukunft wird die IT-Lösung von Arvato Systems zur Echtheitsprüfung von Arzneimitteln in Spanien eingesetzt. Nachdem sich das EU-Land bereits 2019 für das nationale Verifikationssystem von Arvato Systems entschieden hatte, wurde die Zusammenarbeit nun um weitere fünf Jahre verlängert. Im Februar 2019 trat die EU-Richtlinie 2011/62/EU gegen Arzneimittelfälschungen in Kraft, die vorschreibt, dass verschreibungspflichtige Medikamente nur dann verkauft werden dürfen, wenn sie mit zwei spezifischen Sicherheitsmerkmalen gekennzeichnet sind. Damit wird sichergestellt, dass jede Packung eindeutig identifiziert werden kann und somit die Ausgabe von Plagiaten verhindert wird.
