Arvato Systems supports utilities industry in converting market communication to API web services with SaaS-based solution
The consultation launched on 01.08.2024 by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) to regulate the transmission path for API web services, including the introduction of a separate API directory service in market communication, marks another milestone on the way to an even more secure and faster exchange of data in the electricity market. A gradual replacement of the usual EDIFACT formats by JSON was already announced with the publication of BNetzA decision BK6-22-024 on 24-hour supplier switching. Operationally, the API web service will start with the MALO Ident process on 01.04.2025. Die am 01.08.2024 von der Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA) gestartete Konsultation zur Regelung des Übertragungswegs für API-Webdienste inkl. Einführung eines gesonderten API-Verzeichnisdienst in der Marktkommunikation markiert einen weiteren Meilenstein auf dem Weg zu einem noch sichereren und schnelleren Austausch von Daten im Strommarkt. Eine sukzessive Ablösung der üblichen EDIFACT-Formate durch JSON wurde bereits mit Veröffentlichung des BNetzA Beschluss BK6-22-024 zum 24h-Lieferantenwechsel in Aussicht gestellt. Operativ startet der API-Webservice mit dem MALO-Ident-Prozess am 01.04.2025. Arvato Systems bereitet den Übergang auf das API-Zeitalter schon jetzt vor und entwickelt eine eigene Lösung, die als Software as a Service (SaaS) nutzbar sein wird.
