Atlas Copco to acquire a leading US manufacturer of mobile vacuum pumps and packages
Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire National Vacuum Equipment Inc., a leading local US manufacturer of industrial vacuum pumps and packages for mobile use on tanker trucks. National Vacuum Equipment Inc. is headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan, USA and has around 100 employees. “The acquisition will add to our vacuum solutions portfolio, allowing us to enter the currently untapped mobile vacuum market,’’ said Geert Follens, Business Area President Vacuum Technique. The purchase price is not disclosed. National Vacuum will become part of the Industrial Vacuum Division, within the Vacuum Technique business area. The acquisition is expected to close during Q3. Atlas Copco has acquired Associated Compressor Engineers Ltd (ACE), a UK based company. The company specializes in sales, installations and service of compressed air systems. ACE is a privately owned company and was founded in 1982. It has 12 employees and is located in the city of Stockport, near Manchester. The main customers are industrial and service companies in the Greater Manchester area. Atlas Copco has completed the acquisition of Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH that was announced February 21, 2022. Pumpenfabrik Wangen is a German manufacturer of progressive cavity pumps used for transferring fluids mainly in the biogas and wastewater sectors. The company also manufactures twin-screw pumps used in sectors like food and beverage and cosmetics. Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH is based in Wangen, Germany, and has 265 employees. In 2020 they had revenues of approximately MEUR 46.4 (466 MSEK). The company has manufacturing facilities in Germany, and a global sales and service footprint. The purchase price is not disclosed.
