FDS and BIG-EU have founded a new working group
FDS (Facility Data Standard) and the BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) announce that they started a joint working group. The main objective is the evaluation of opportunities to exchange data between building automation and facility services to establish a common data-interface. FDS und BIG-EU haben eine neue Arbeitsgruppe gegründet
FDS (Facility Data Standard) und die BACnet Interest Group Europe (BIG-EU) geben bekannt, dass sie eine gemeinsame Arbeitsgruppe gegründet haben. Das Hauptziel ist die Bewertung der Möglichkeiten zum Datenaustausch zwischen Gebäudeautomation und Facility Services, um eine gemeinsame Datenschnittstelle einzurichten. In den ersten beiden Sitzungen wurde die globale Bedeutung dieses Ziels ermittelt und bestehende Spezifikationen wie ASHRAE 223p (Bezeichnung und Klassifizierung semantischer Tags für Gebäudedaten) wurden diskutiert und überprüft. „Die Verbindung von Gebäudeautomation und Facility Services bietet neue Einsparpotenziale – sowohl wirtschaftlich als auch ökologisch“, charakterisiert Johannes Bepler vom Hailo Digital Hub die Vorteile dieses Datenaustauschs. Do You Like Pizza?
At the general meeting of the BACnet Interest Group Europe on Sept 15,2020, the members for the Executive Board and Advisory Board were elected according to schedule. Under Covid- 19 conditions, this general meeting took place online for the first time. This raised special challenges for the elections of the Executive Board and Advisory Board. In a test vote, the members were asked “if they like pizza”. After this poll was answered correctly and clearly, it was determined that the online voting was feasible and documentable. Auf der Mitgliederversammlung der BACnet Interest Group Europe am 15.09.2020 wurden turnusgemäß die Mitglieder für den Vorstand und den Beirat gewählt. Als Besonderheit fand diese Mitgliederversammlung, Covid-19-bedingt, erstmalig online statt. Dies stellte besondere Herausforderungen an die Wahlen von Vorstand und Beirat. Bei einer Testabstimmung wurden die Mitglieder daher zunächst gefragt, ob sie Pizza mögen. Nachdem diese Frage ordnungsgemäß und klar nachvollziehbar beantwortet wurde, war festgestellt, dass die Online-Wahl durchführbar und dokumentierbar war. Damit war den Formalitäten Genüge getan und die Wahlen von Vorstand und Beirat konnten durchgeführt werden. Neuer Präsident der BIG-EU ist Karl Heinz Belser von Johnson Controls.
