Solar Plant at University of Johannesburg Commissioned
O&L Nexentury (Pty) Ltd., a photovoltaic and sustainable infrastructure company which is part of the Namibian Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group of Companies, has successfully commissioned a 1400 kWp photovoltaic system at the University of Johannesburg (UJ). The project, located in the heart of Johannesburg at three of the UJ’s campuses, consists of the following sites: a 818 kWp carport solar PV at Auckland Park Campus; a 300kWp rooftop solar installation at Doornfontein Campus, and another carport solar installation with a capacity of 282kWp at Soweto Campus. CRONIMET Mining Power Solutions GmbH (the Company), a German-based renewable energy project development, EPC, investment, and asset management company has merged with the Ohlthaver & List Group (O&L), Namibia’s largest privately held group of companies. After half a decade of successfully partnering with CRONIMET in Namibia through a joint venture, O&L has acquired the majority stake in what was CRONIMET Mining Power Solutions GmbH, from the exiting major shareholder CRONIMET Mining Energy AG, in Switzerland.
