More safety when stripping permanent molds
At METEC, Dango & Dienenthal (D&D) will present the new vertical ingot ejector that pushes ingots out of the mold in a controlled manner. These features enable the machine to significantly increase both process reliability and occupational safety. When casting ingots in steel mills, stripping the permanent molds used to be highly hazardous for the personnel and the machines: The ingot molds had to be swung against massive objects with the crane, for example, until the ingots came loose. Mehr Sicherheit beim Strippen von Kokillen
Auf der METEC stellt Dango & Dienenthal (D&D) den neuen vertikalen Blockausdrücker vor, der Blöcke kontrolliert aus der Kokille schiebt. Auf diese Weise steigert die Maschine sowohl die Prozess- als auch die Arbeitssicherheit deutlich. Beim Gießen von Blöcken im Stahlwerk war das Strippen der Kokillen bisher mit hoher Gefahr für das Personal und die Maschinen verbunden: Die Kokillen mussten zum Beispiel mit dem Kran gegen massive Objekte geschwungen werden, bis sich die Blöcke lösten. Neben gefährlichen Arbeitsbedingungen und kaum planbarem Zeitaufwand waren beschädigte Kokillen, eine hohe mechanische Belastung der Krane und entsprechend hoher Verschleiß an der Tagesordnung.
