HfG Fotoförderpreis 2023 der Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation an Madlen Strebel verliehen
Die Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation hat den HfG Fotoförderpreis 2023 an Madlen Strebel für ihr Projekt „Two Hours Per Hour“ verliehen. Der Preis zeichnet jährlich Studierende an der Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main (HfG) aus, die sich mit dem Medium Fotografie auseinandersetzen. Im Rahmen ihres Engagements zur Förderung junger zeitgenössischer Künstler*innen vergibt die Foundation den mit 3.000 € dotierten Preis jährlich seit 2010. Die Verleihung erfolgte im Rahmen des traditionellen HfG-Rundgangs am 14. Juli in Offenbach. Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation präsentiert „Ernest Cole. House of Bondage“
Die Ausstellung „Ernest Cole. House of Bondage“ wird vom 2. Juni bis zum 17. September 2023 in The Cube in Eschborn gezeigt. Samuel Fosso has won the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize 2023. The artist was announced as the 2023 winner of the prestigious £30,000 prize at a special ceremony at The Photographers’ Gallery (TPG), London by artist Zak Ové on Thursday 11 May 2023. The influential prize, in partnership with the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation, rewards artists and their projects recognised as having made the most significant contribution to the world of contemporary photography over the preceding 12 months. Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation presents “Ernest Cole. House of Bondage”
The exhibition “Ernest Cole. House of Bondage” will be shown from 2 June to 17 September 2023 in The Cube, Eschborn. It is the South African photographer’s first major exhibition in Germany. Visiting the exhibition is possible as part of the regular guided tours and on the “Open Saturday” on 16 September 2023. Die Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation benennt Mariama Attah als Associate Curator für die Art Collection Deutsche Börse. Im Rahmen einer zweijährigen Zusammenarbeit in den Jahren 2023 und 2024 wird Mariama Attah die Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation bei den Ankäufen für ihre Sammlung zeitgenössischer Fotografie beraten und dabei unterstützen, die Vielfalt der vertretenen künstlerischen Positionen weiter auszubauen. Mariama Attah ist Kuratorin für zeitgenössische Fotografie, Autorin und Dozentin. Nach Stationen beim Foam Magazine, Amsterdam, und Photoworks, Brighton, ist sie nun als Ausstellungsleiterin an der Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool tätig. The Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation has named Mariama Attah Associate Curator for the Art Collection Deutsche Börse. During a two-year collaboration in 2023 and 2024, Attah will advise the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation on acquisitions for its collection of contemporary photography and support it in further expanding the diversity of the artistic positions represented. Mariama Attah is a photography curator, editor, and lecturer. Having worked at Foam Magazine, Amsterdam, and Photoworks, Brighton, she is now Head of Exhibitions at Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool.
